Maria's Cello History (or.. Her-story)
Mrs Cello was born around the turn of the 20th Century. Her birthplace was Mittenwald, Germany and was created by J.A. Baader & Co. It is a mystery how she immigrated to the United States, but by the 1920's, Mrs Cello had arrived. A luthier's writing from Richmond, IN can be seen on the inside left upper bout in the picture below.
Mrs Cello was a gift to Maria. Her parents bought the cello from a member of the Denver Symphony Orchestra in 1993, and the two have been making beautiful music together ever since.
